It's 3:30 - 5:00 p.m. Do You Know Where Your Kids Are Online?: October 14, 2004, 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. This is perhaps the most important class offered this year. This class is not only for computer illiterate parents who worry about their children's surfing habits, but for all parents of computer users. We will discuss known problem sites, identity theft, dangers of online gaming, and Internet pornography. We will discuss how to identify your child's surfing habits as well as ways to protect your children from online predators. Class size is not limited. Bring a friend. Computer Maintenance: October 28, 2004, 9:30 - 12:30 p.m. Discover the computer’s hard drive organization. Learn what virtual memory means. Discover what those file extensions mean. Learn how to scandisk, defrag, and reformat. Mostly learn where stuff is stored on a computer and how to troubleshoot when you run into common problems. Intermediate to Advanced Users. Class size is limited to 4 people seeking assistance with machines running Windows 98 or higher. Students are encouraged to bring their problem machine.
